Efficiency 100% plus

Postby peri1000 » Sat Aug 06, 2016 9:53 pm

Just noticed I can set efficiency in excess of 100%. Is this right or is there a use for that?

100% is the theoretical limit so it shouldn't exceed this, but BeerTools Pro won't complain if it does. In reality, the only recipe that will have 100% efficiency is an extract recipe. For this reason, extracts are ignored when applying the efficiency in the calculations. 100% is always assumed for extracts. The efficiency comes into play when estimating the extract yield for ingredients such as grains and mashable adjuncts.
