Not sure if it the best thing to do, but I give the fermenter a good shake if it doesn't start withing 24 hours. That seems to get things going fast. usually within the hour after shaking.

3 oz is not very much.I would go with the 350L.

As long as you store your grain in an airtight bin it should last a year for you. You really want to make sure bugs can't get in and the lower the temp you store it the longer it will last.

I have two of them. I mainly use them for my secondary though. I have read things recently about plastic that makes me not want to use them any more though. They give off chemicals the higher the temp you get them:(. I really would like a stainless conical fermenter, but I can't afford that right no...

I was just wondering what is everyones favorite beer type? I really like American ambers. Is there anything you would highly recommend to brew?

When I give a beer away I tell them to pour it in a clear glass and tell me what you think. lol.

I do poor my home brew into a glass, also when I drink to get screwed up I drink a few of mine and then some cheap beer to finish the night. I guess it is really bad when you can't find your freshly pored "glass". I left it on the fence outside
