Re: Efficiency Scaling / Lock Bug
If it's a feature it's a weird (and very unintuitive) one IMO; if I'm in the middle of editing a recipe why should I have to save just to be able to scale? To me it seems that the scaling isn't actually scaling unless I use this saving workaround, to me that's a bug. I can't think of a time where I ...

Efficiency Scaling / Lock Bug
I have a recipe that I want to reformulate to a lower OG, let's say from 12ºP to 10ºP I switch to the Efficiency tab, make sure the lock button is off, then dial down the efficiency until the gravity hits 10ºP. I turn on the lock button and then start clicking the up button to go back to my known sy...

Remembering All Window Settings?
It would be great if BTP would remember all of my window settings. For example, I prefer to sort my recipes by style, not name -- every time I close and relaunch BTP it reverts to sorting by name. Not a showstopper, but an annoyance. I also always want Recipes > On My Computer to be open, but every ...

Specify recipe amounts by percentage
Using the sliders works OK, but the "resolution" of the sliders is not precise enough and it's not usually easy to hit the exact amount you're trying to. It would be great to be able to type in the exact percentage # we're looking for.

Recipe amounts allowed to be negative numbers!
Just discovered that you can keep dragging the percentage sliders to the left to arrive at negative numbers for grains and hops. (I assume other ingredients would be the same.)
You can also type in a negative number.
You can also type in a negative number.

Re: Ingredient list in printout
In addition to my suggestion above about how the recipe prints out, it would also be great to get some horizontal rules or a grid on the shopping list printout, to make it easier to read across while in the shop.

Re: Deduct from Inventory Bug
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this. 1. Open the shopping list window. 2. Use the + icon (which BTW isn't displaying correctly, I only see about 1/4 of the + symbol) to add the recipe(s) I'm about to go shopping for. 3. Click the print button. When I first add the recipe the lower pane of t...

Re: BJCP 2014 Update
My understanding from Gordon's presentation @ NHC is that they do plan on having the guidelines available (when finalized) in some sort of standardized import/export format (perhaps XML) for ease of use in software, the iPhone and Android guideline apps, etc. Not sure of the exact details for that, ...

Re: Brewday / Hop Timers
I'd be more than happy having the timers on my iPhone rather than on the laptop; I take the laptop out to the brewery with me on brewday, but if I need to walk away I don't take it with me (but my phone is always in my pocket so I'd still be able to easily check when my next hop addition is coming, ...

Re: Deduct from Inventory Bug
OK, I'll post back next time I brew (which may not be for a little while, I don't brew as often in the hot summer months). I have upgraded to Mavericks, though, so my system is not the same as it was before when I first reported the bug.
