It happens when I am editing the hops within the ingredient browser. If I hit edit on one of the hops and change the price in the hop editor then hit ok. This should save my changes, which for all fields such as AA% and all others, it works perfectly. Only the Cost/unit field wont save the changes. ...

I had this problem as well. If its the same as what was going on with me, do what Jeff says. Just open the file with msword and show the paragraph marks. Look in the notes section at the very bottom, chances are a character is in there that doesn't belong and just delete it. Mine was an arrow line ...
