I just changed my preferences to display hops in grams, but my existing recipes are all still showing hops in ounces. (1.5.4b) If I create a new recipe, it shows as grams. Edit: this seems to apply to all "measurement" preferences that apply to ingredients. (Changing color measurement mode...

More on inventory/recipe management

I just loaded one of my recipes into the "planned" folder, then decided to make a minor tweak to the planned recipe based on inventory I had in stock. I just noticed that this made the change to the original recipe as well. Would it be possible to "unlink" the planned recipe from...

I'd like to see the arrows for hop quantities (in the recipe area) adjust by 0.1 ounce rather than 1.0 ounce. Or could this be made an option/preference setting? You can increment by 0.1 by holding the Option key (Alt key Windows I think) while clicking the arrows. If it isn't working, then there's...

I'd love to see this feature. Currently I just use the notes field to keep track, but a dedicated space for this would be nice.

I also have never had the key expire. (Except for the demo key in the beta testing) Are the keys set to expire at a certain point? The keys expire in 30 days meaning they won't unlock the program after that period. But once the program is unlocked, it doesn't become "locked" unless someth...

Fixed in version 1.5.4.

D'oh! That does help, thanks Jeff. It might be nice at some point to add the drag and drop functionality, just to round out the useability, but in the meantime this'll do a peach! It would still be nice if with hops when you replaced it would change the qty based on the alpha acids/IBUs in the recip...

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "bug" but more of a "tweak" perhaps. Sorry if it should be somewhere else... The qty field for Whirlflock Tablets lists the qty as "tsp" where it should be "each" or "tablets" or "units" or some other for...

Ok, I'm messing around with importing an old recipe (from 1.0.2) and here's what I'd like to be able to do. First, the background: The old recipe has some ingredients that are not in my current inventory, BUT in my current inventory are acceptable analogs. Example, my original recipe used "Arom...

When it comes to boiling water you have to take alltitude into account. Ice water is the same anywhere. True, but that is easy to do. (I should have remembered to point that out, though! Sometimes I forget because I live at about 50ft of altitude, which only accounts for less than a tenth of a degr...

Test it in boiling water, too. Mine is accurate at freezing, but off by 3 degrees at the boiling point. I adjust by 2 degrees at mash temps, and call it good.

Nope. Leave it behind. The primary reason for a secondary is to get your beer off the trub which consists of cold break protein material, hop detritus, and yeast. If you plan to move the trub as well, then you might as well leave it in the primary.
