I'm not sure, Jeff. Part of what I like to accomplish with the save as is to have a copy of the final recipe as brewed, including actual OG, FG etc. Since this varies slightly from batch to batch, I've wanted a separate recipe that records all of these details without affecting the original recipe. ...

With a big beer you'll have more mouthfeel whether you shoot for high fermentability or not. Even if you maximize your RDF you will still end up with a certain amount of non-fermentable large sugars. If you have 80% AA starting with a 1.100 beer, you'll still only finish at 1.020 FG which will give ...

Re: How do I remove a grain from a recipe?
I've tried the delete button (both of them), dragging the grain off the recipe, using the "edit" menu (delete is grayed out). I can set it to zero lbs so I can move forward, but should be easier to delete a grain if you add one by mistake. Right (ctrl) click should bring up a contextual m...

It would be nice to have an area(perhaps a new tab in the lower area?) for tasting notes. Of course, currently I put tasting notes in the general notes area, but this seems to be a broad catchall for so many things, it would be nice to be able to separate things out. For tasting notes it might be ni...

Re: Water Chemistry editor bug...
When I pull up the Water Chemistry editor and click on "new" for either water profiles or mineral salts, the browser window shows up in the background but is grayed out. When I click on it I get the Mac "error" sound and can't select anything in the browser. It's only when I clo...

It would be nice to be able to select (using shift, as per standard of mac UI) multiple ingredients in a recipe as sometimes I may have multiple ingredients that I want to delete from a recipe. Also, it would be nice to be able to rearrange the order of the recipe folders that I create. Is this alre...

I just tried to change the Malt Water Absorbtion setting in the preferences, but when I click ok the figure reverts to the original setting. Apparently, you need to type in the change, hit <return> to get the cursor out of the number field, then hit OK. If you don't hit <return> the change doesn't ...

Re: Shopping Lists
Yeast does not seem to be showing up in my ingredients/shopping list even though I don't have the yeast in question in stock. (I also question whether or not yeasts are going to get deducted from inventory, if I have them in inventory, though I haven't tested this.) Ummm. Right. Never mind. User er...
