Re: Recipe amounts allowed to be negative numbers!

Sounds good! There's a Vienna around here, from the Von Trapp Brewery, that I quite like. It tastes like it is most all Vienna, with a touch of Munich; very toasty. I also liked the couple Viennas that I tracked down in Prague, which seemed to be a mix of Pilsner and Munich.

Re: Recipe amounts allowed to be negative numbers!

When it comes to beer I tend to brew smaller / session beers, so I'm right there with you. My task this last year was to try to perfect my Vienna Lager... still working on it. Mostly dealing with the water now. I'd be very interested to hear the details of your experiences with the Vienna, since I'...

Re: Recipe amounts allowed to be negative numbers!

No, no beer this weekend. Every year I make a mead on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, for the following year's Thanksgiving supper. Yesterday I made a blackberry melomel (Vintner's Harvest blackberry wine base, plus water and honey to 24ºP, 10g of Cote de Blanc yeast). Just got done w/ the second ...

Re: Recipe amounts allowed to be negative numbers!

Unfortunately, that one is out of my reach. Jeff will probably get to it after the holiday weekend.

You guys brewing this weekend? I'm about to start the boil on a Porter.

Re: Using BTP to create recipe Vs Creating online

In the recipe window of BTP, % Utilization is shown as %U next to the hop listing, in the 3rd slider. That calculation is dependent on the Utilization model you choose from the Utilization menu item and the time in the boil. This is not dependent on any of the factors that you list from the hop edit...

Re: Brew Session date changes?

Yes, I'm seeing this for the first recipe that I check the date on. The date doesn't actually change, it just displays incorrectly. If I switch to another recipe, the date is displayed correctly, and if I go back to the first recipe, the date is now displayed correctly. However, if you make a change...

Re: Kettle/Final Volume gravity?

I think that that feature was removed in v.2.0. You can have that same information (Kettle Gravity, OG) readily at hand by opening the Analysis tab at the bottom of the recipe window.

Re: HopShot Hop Resin Extract

I think the easiest way to do this is to completely formulate your recipe with all your malts and volumes, but not the hops. Scale the gravity to 1.050 then add 1 hop (any one should do) edit it to rename it to "hop extract" and set it to 60 minute boil time. Adjust the quantity to arrive ...

Re: add a new hop to the recipe pull down list

For the fastest response from Jeff, I suggest you place requests like this in the Feature Request subforum or submit a ticket, by going to the Support tab near the top of the web page. Meanwhile, BeerTools Pro allows you to create new hop profiles by editing existing ones and saving them to the My I...

Re: How to save recipies

You have a number of options. Here are a few methods: -Open your recipe library folder, then hit the symbol of the document with a "+" symbol just above the list, to add a new item, then write a new recipe. -If you already have a recipe written, go to File>Save, in the menu bar, and save t...

Re: Vessel Capacity Not Saving

What operating system are you using?

I tried to replicate your problem in WIndows, but my volumes are saving without a problem.

Also, are you entering the width and length of the vessel? If I just try to enter a volume without entering those dimensions, BTP will not accept the volume.
