To be safe, and not sorry... i just slowly raised the temperature back to 60F or so, and primed with the given amounts of DME.

i put a little bit of yeast in before bottling as well, just in case i dropped out too many of them during the cold crash.

I am sure it will end up ok.

cheers!

Carbonation - Dissolved CO2

I am doing something slightly different than before, I am chilling my wort (ale) to drop the particulates before I bottle. So, fermentation has completed, and now I am bringing the carboy/beer down to less than 45F. In the carbonation tab, it lets you select what temperature the beer is at, so it ca...

Re: I don't understand this.

Maybe it's because I haven't bothered with water chemistry in the past, but I don't understand the reference to two different water profiles -- one for 'mashing' and one for 'brew' water. If I duplicate water from 'Pilsen', wouldn't I use that water for the entire batch -- strike water, mashout, an...

Bug: Super subtle - but super bothersome

In the "Infusion" dialog in the schedule, there is a lock checkbox for the "Water Temp". Now, when it is checked, all works fine, you press "Ok" to exit the dialog, things are ok so far. Now, when you open that same "Infusion" dialog, the checkbox is not check...

Bug: MashIn schedule step

When i have a valid "Mash Vessel", "Heating Vessel", and "Heat Source" in the MashIn dialog, I am allowed to change the "Heat Duration" to reach a target temperature in the dialog box, and then the schedule graph changes accordingly. This can not happen, and t...

Does the about window show 1.0.26 as the version? The download file was not up to date initially.

Display bottling/kegging final volume...

... in a place that can be seen at all times. This would be the final volume after equipement losses (the current "final volume" shown is pre-losses). The reason i bring this up, is because i was working with the carbonation values, and was not sure if i had losses due to the fermenter ent...

Recommended RA (Res. Alk.) Level...

for the grainbill. It would be nice for BTP to propose a recommended RA level (maybe below the beer color or something) so we can adjust our water (if mashing) to hit this. I have seen the formula -> Ideal RA = ( SRM * 7.14 ) - 37 being used. This approximate formula seems to match up well with John...

I do not think this yeast was ever produced... I have read that they have had trouble drying it, and the project was dropped. I would love to have seen it come around to reality.

Re: Water Chemistry Target

I happens when I am editing the hops within the ingredient browser. If I hit edit on one of the hops and change the price in the hop editor then hit ok. This should save my changes, which for all fields such as AA% and all others, it works perfectly. Only the Cost/unit field wont save the changes. ...
