Where's Mesa when you need him?
I was hoping that Eric would chime in on this one. I figured he could possibly give us some insight to some of the questions we raise on the subject.

As stated before
I remember a post not long ago that Jayhawk was connceted in about the Corney purchase arena. He suggested looking into getting them from a food service place and was scolded here for the "The deposit is much cheaper than the cost of a keg" The deposit is $10 and the pricing on used kegs a...

Thanks Paul
Thanks for the info.
Above Charlotte is even closer for me than the in-laws. Maybe I could go there, and not even have to visit them. Ha Ha

Belgian triple
A Belgian triple can give you a 10% + alcohol. They aren't usually hoppy, but the alc. bite picks up the slack. I wondered about the condesning of the hop oils too. I know someone whom has a still(shhhh) it is illegal in the states. Anyway, I wondered if some of the not optimal beers wouln't make an...

I would think
I would think that you would want to start with a high octane beer then. If you don't, you wont have much in the way of a finished product. after all, a 6% beer would only have approximately 7 to 7 1/2 ounces of alcohol to a gallon so a standard 5 gallon batch would be 35 ounces of alcohol. If you a...

Questions?????????????
I understand that many mega breweries make ice beers, but their beers didn't have much on flavor from the start, so who cares what happens in the freezing process. The questions I have is when you freeze the water and extract it, are you going to take the flavor out as well? It seems that you are di...

AZ
Hey Paul, Are you in the area where they do the gemstone mining? My wife and young son are kind of rock nuts, and was looking into possibly coming down that way to do the gemstone thing. My inlaws are in the Charolotte/Rockhill area, so that would cut down on our road time, we could visit there, and...

Belgian triple
Belgian triples are high on alc. low on hop bitter, and can range from blonds to darker or heavier. Check out the recipes section under Belgian triple to see if anything strikes you.

Another
Another help is to purchase oxygen absorbtion caps. They are supposed to aid in the trapping of the oxygen that is left in the bottle. flodding the bottle is a good practice and must be done when counterpressure bottle filling. les foam overs.

I would think
I would think that it would be over carbonated unless you put it in the bottle flat, then you may have a hard time keeping it if it is flat in the bottle. They have many types of "mini dipensing systems ranging from 1.3 Gallon Pet bottles and steel kegs up to 5 Gallon corney kegs with bicycle t...

Why not?
I have done this numerous times with good results, hell, great results. I a quest to make the clearest beer, a lot of people look down on the cask conditioning, but only the first one or two beers are a little cloudy. Once you empty the keg, you can look inside, and see that the first couple beers c...

The Williams site is www.williamsbrewing.com I have bought many different things from them, and all have been good. Their malt extract is very good, and they have many of the types in extract that you couldn't get unless going all grain. I have been doing a lot of extract brewing lately because of t...

Some Info.
Jim There are weldless fittings that you can purchase "bulkhead" that are supposed to be great. I know Williams brewing has one, with other fittings that can be attached with if you desire. I would get the fryer if it is a SS. You could easily pay that amount for each component. I would ge...
