Thanks Jeff, for the update, and your hard work. The new version sounds awesome! I can hardly wait to take it for a spin.

Re: Pumps??

Check out Chugger pumps. They seem to be less expensive than the March 809/815 series. I wish I would have known about them when I bought my 815. Here's a link from the NB forum about 'em.

Version 1.5.23

Several weeks ago I downloaded Version 1.5.23 of BTP. I don't see it in the change log (http://www.beertools.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=15) and so I'm wondering what the changes are.

I guess the answer depends on what kind of beers you like. A lot of people like wheat beers in the warmer months, and they can go from grain to glass in as little as four weeks or less. If you're looking for a lawnmower beer you could try a Cream Ale.

Two excellent suggestions that I would like to see incorporated as well. Actually I've been meaning submit #2 myself. But I would also like to see it include drop down lists from folders too. For example the Recipes folder and any user created sub-folders.

I am not familiar with someone who has tried it yet but I myself would not be too convinced to try it out as that amount of electricity will surely hurt. I don't think it would be as effective though as there are some limitations by how much time they require to boil and only up to certain degrees ...

Hi, welcome to the forum! I'm not on a Mac, but what comes to my mind is transferring your recipe files from the old computer to a thumb drive or CD and then to the new machine. Since you're on a Mac is iCloud a possibility?

Yeah, the smell of a fermenting bucket can be pretty bad. But I've never had the smell affect a subsequent beer made in that bucket. So with your barrel I think as long as you have removed all traces of olive oil you'll be fine. To check it I guess you could fill the bucket with water and look for a...

I had a similar problem a few years ago with some plastic pails I got from a bakery that originally contained the icing they use to frost cakes. I tried most of the things you have, and like you without great results. But what did work was beaching them in the sun. Just let the barrel sit outside fo...

I agree with Jawbox, the new way is not as user friendly. Too much mousing.
