Deleting Version 1.0
I'm using the latest version of BTP and recently noticed that there is a folder on my PC for version 1.0. Is it safe to delete this folder? I suppose it is but thought I should ask first to be sure.

Nice work, Grizz. I hope to make the switch to electric brewing soon. Nothing as elaborate as your set-up, just a couple bucket heaters to see how it works out for me. From there I imagine it will evolve. It would definitely be nice to brew in the basement and not have to worry about the wheater or ...

For a boil kettle all you really need is a ball valve. Actually, you don't even need that as a racking cane and tubing would work just fine. But a ball valve is a nice touch and convenience. Forget about a sight glass. They're great for an HLT, but in a BK they're a PITA and don't work that well any...

twarin, this won't be much help, but I'll tell you my experience. Several months ago I tried installing running BTP on Ubuntu using Crossover Office, which is a sort of front end for Wine. BTP Version 1.0.27 (I think) and earlier seemed to work, but anything newer did not. ADDENDUM: OK, in the time ...

Re: Adjusting Water per Styles
Thanks Legman and slothrob for a very interesting and informative thread! Even if I'm trying to match, say the water profile of London England. I've seem multiple variations of that same water profile. So which do you choose? :? I guess I was looking for more of a cut and dry answer, but I don't thi...

Re: RE: Electric Hot Water Heater as a Brew Kettle
I also thought about using one of those on demand hot water heaters, but after looking at their capabitities, i decided that it wouldn't heat up enough water fast enough or hot enough to warrent the price of installing one. I wish I had one for my kitchen tho...LOL! :D (_)3 I know this is a little ...

Interesting thread. I've been brewing for nine years and accurate bitterness calculations seem to be my final frontier. I just don't have confidence in the bitterness any given brewing software calculates. I suppose that's because there are many different formulas ( at least seven that I know of) an...

Here's a link to a site that has various calculators for homebrewers. Just scroll down the page to the calculators section. I've used the boil off calculator and it's spot on. The author (johnplctech) is an engineer that used to be pretty active on a few of the forums, but I haven't seen anything he...

Re: Need info on Canada Malting Co. 2 Row malt.
I found this at North Country Malt Supply. Scroll down to the malt analysis. Not a lot of info, but maybe it will help.
