Hey, maybe this is a bad question, but I'm assuming that if I'm not ready to tap out my refrigerator just yet to run my lines, it is okay to put the CO2 tank in there with the keg. Any problems with this, or am I a go?
Thanks guys!

That's what I use
My wife (angel that she is) got the system for me because she knew I'd been wanting to all graing for over a year. She had NO clue what all to buy, but found an old Williams Catalogue laying around and bought their system. I agree with capper that it's a great starter. I have ideas about how I'll up...

There must be a conspiracy...
Someone doesn't want me learning something you are trying to show me... I followed the bodensatz.com link you sent and got a "file not found" error. I'll try it again later, but I'm starting to question my point-and-click ability. Thanks again.

Tried to look - no go
I went to the link you provided, but the browser keeps redirecting back to beertools and giving me a message, "post owned by another member" Thanks for trying though. I kegged the bock today, which allowed me to move both the bitter and the porter into secondaries. The bitter is so-so... a little to...

Your setup
Wow. I am thoroughly impressed with your meager (cough cough) brewhouse. Nice job. I aspire to similar but simply don't have the extra room right now (or the discretionary funds ;-). Some day in the not-too-distant future though. Thanks for the balancing information. I'm ordering lines today, hoping...

Balancing the keg system
This is a term I haven't come across in my reading or discussions with other brewers, so any info you have time to share would be great. I'm planning on getting a setup for running multiple kegs as soon as possible. Thanks for the info posted. I'll get on an order quickly, as there isn't a HB shop a...

Reconditioning
Is it okay to use appropriately sized gaskets from the local hardware to recondition (cornelius) kegs, or do you need gaskets specifically for that purpose? Also, could someone kindly put together a simple checklist of everything I need to make sure I have to start kegging. I have kegs on the way. I...

My turn to say "you rock"
Jayhawk, I couldn't agree more. I taught high school in Jersey before moving further west to jump back into my own educational pursuits. Because I taught biology, I could easily justify banning drinks/food from my class. I know it didn't make a big difference in the scheme of things, but I liked to ...

And I would add...
I agree with Paul 100%. I read and prepared mentally for a long time before being willing to give it a go. If you don't want to construct your own equipment, you can find all-grain equipment kits at many homebrew shops and online with all you really need, minus the pot usually. I got mine from Willi...

Thanks to all who replied
I appreciate the comments you all sent. With the info presented, I'll be buying kegs shortly in a bid to get this refrigerator I just bought kegorated! Thanks.

Yeast starter suggestion
I can't help you much with why your FG's are all stopping at 1.020 other than to ask if you are correcting for temperature. As for yeast starters, you can sterilize regular 12 oz. bottles, fill them 1/2 way with sterile wort, add your yeast, and put an airlock on them like you do a fermenter. If you...

Sprite/7Up keg odor/taste
I've been told that if I'm going to get into kegging, I should NEVER buy old Sprite, 7 UP, or Rootbeer kegs as these tend to have an odor or flavor associated with those sodas that is impossible to remove and it will cause an off flavor to lighter beers in particular. Does anyone have any experience...
