Quantity and Units
Not sure if this an actual bug or just a minor annoyance, but I'll report it anyway. When building a recipe I have the default unit for grains set to pounds. If I want to add a small amount and have it displayed as ounces I first enter the amount then use the unit drop down list and list and select ...

Re: Fermentap Clog?
I had one and they suck. the problem is that the sides of the carboy do not slope enough and everything catches just above the neck. I think if you swirled it twice a day it might work. it just depends what you are trying to accomplish with it. hope this helps Jason Yeah, from what I've read that's...

Re: Balloon Help
That would be a great feature. I hope it becomes a reality.jeff wrote:Maybe not as convenient as balloon help, but we are planning on placing help buttons scattered throughout the interface that will open the applicable help topic. What do you think?

Saving Sessions & Evap Rate
You could always save 2 versions. The original plan and the actual beer. This way you have a record of how you planned the beer and then a record of how it turned out. That's exactly what I do, sort of like the recipe and session files in ProMash. I save the actual brewing session with the name of ...

Context Sensitive Help
This is probably a tall order, but I'd like to see context sensitive help in a future version. I'm thinking of something similar to ProMash in that when you're working in a window clicking a help button (or hitting F1) would bring up a window that explains the intent of the fields in that window. Wh...

Re: Let me know
Sorry, just another thought... When saving a file, the default is a btp type file. When opening a file, the default is a rec file. Would it be possible to have the default opened file a btp as well? I made a change in v1.0.4 that might help with this, please let me know if it seems to be fixed. Tha...

Grain Adsorption
How do you account for grain absorption in Beer Tools? If you are in the Schedule part of the program (as opposed to the strike calculator from the menu bar), you highlight the MashIn step, hit Edit (or double click), and a popup window appears in which you can edit the grain absorbtion. Thanks, bu...

Thanks for posting this. I agree. Besides being a bit of an inconvenience it seems odd that BTP woul...

Yeah, I'd like to see this feature as well.HardcoreLegend wrote:With Beertools Gold, you can make a print view whish is handy for cutting and pasting to forums and such. The printouts look real good from BTP, but can we get a print preview?
I don't care if it can be saved in HTML or not if we can get a print preview.

Re: Thank you also...
We apprciate the feedback from our users. Your insightful reviews help us refine BTP. I had a quick question for you ColoradoBrewer. I see you mentioned the refractometer utility in another post as well. We do have a utility, its located at: Window->Calculators->S.G.->Refractometer Do you have any ...

Hey Dave, Glad you noticed the beard. I have to say that I've been using ProMash for a few years and have been using BTP for only a week. So you have to keep that in mind. I think BTP compares very favorably with PM. Both have a rich suite of utilities that will do just about anything you'd e...

Kudos to the BTP Team
I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the BTP Team's dedication to customer service. I was having a problem saving ProMash Sessions that had been converted to a recipe file. Jeff asked me to send him a file to look at. He then spent a few hours analyzing code to isolate the problem. This with...

Saving Converted ProMash Files
I've run into a problem saving ProMash recipe files. Not sure if this is an actual bug, but I'll report what is happening anyway. When I try to save a recipe that was loaded from ProMash I get the following error message: "Assertion Failure: Assertion(!!(scrCharLens >0)) failed in output.cpp, l...
