Aluminum Pot galvanic corrosion - ruined?
I stored my copper immersion wort chiller in my aluminum brewpot for over a year and when I next went to use it I found it lhad arge black spots had developed and some pits. Can I still brew with this or have I ruined it?

Hinckley Springs Water Chemistry
Hello,
I am in the Chicago area and have really bad well water so we use 5 gallon Hinckley Schmidt water bottles for drinking.
Has anyone ever done a water chemistry analysis on this source? I want to know all the levels for brewing Ales. Calcium, Sulfate, and Chloride.
Thanks
Keith
