Kegged beer going flat
This is my first time using a keg system so I'm very new to this way of carbonation. Because this is my first time using a keg, I just went with a coopers Canadian blonde kit, so I could focus more on correcting keg problems, rather then correcting beer problems. So the beer tastes great but here is...

Using sugar
I just had a quick question. I've always put malto-dextrin in my beer to increase alcohol %. I've done 3 batches so far and had 1 turn out well but still seemed light, bout 3.8-4.5%. I was just wondering if you guys always use some sort of adjunct or if you get enough sugars from your grains. I'm do...

Carbonation trouble...?
This is my first brew so I'm new to the whole carbonation process but I read up and thought I had it. So I left the 5g batch in primary for 7 days and then in secondary for 14 days. I then boiled up 2 cups of water and added 3/4 cup of corn sugar to it and put it in my bottling bucket, then siphoned...

Too late to add sugar?
Hey guys, I just did a brew and got a lower OG then what I wanted so I was going to add some sugar to bring it up to my desired OG. The reason it is less is because i just sorta guessed about how much sugar i added instead of weighing it out. So when is it too late to add sugar? I just finished the ...

White stuff floating in Secondary
Hey, I started my first ever bacth last week and everything has went great up till recently. I had my beer in primary for 7 days until my gravity was consistent for 3 days straight. I recently (2 days ago) racked my brew into my secondary carboy. Yesterday I noticed little white stuff floating NEAR(...

No I definitely added .5lbs of sugar and i spun the hydrometer when i used it. I just recently took a reading today and got 1.03 two days after pitching which gives me a 5.6% alcohol. Perhaps my hydrometer wasn't calibrated because that's the only thing that i could see being possible. I'm gonna rea...

Higher OG then expected
I just started brewing my first batch today so I'm pretty new to this all. Before pitching the yeast I got a hydrometer reading of 1.072. Is this too high? A lot of other readings I have seen on forums have been between 1.05-.106 so I was just wondering. Other information that may help: 5 gallon bat...
