me too...sort of. did you pitch more yeast?

am curious if you pitched more. i'm a newbie (2nd brew) but i'm making an amber ale and screwed up with the yeast. i lost some yeast when i opened the container (i shook the bottle and it exploded when i opened it. hehehe!) i added the remainder but i'm worried that there won't be enough to thorough...

2nd brew....am a newbie to homebrewing. when pitching the yeast (wet not dry) i shook up the vial then openned it immediately. doh! yeast exploded all over the carboy. i added the remainder but i'm afraid there won't be enough for proper fermentation of my 5 gallons of brew. if i don't see some seri...

new to homebrewing...do i need a secondary fermenter?

i am on my 2nd homebrewbrew....when i purchased my homebrew kit, it included a 5 gallon glass carboy and one 6.5 gallon plastic bucket (and told it was for the bottling process only). i've brewed with friends before and they use the primary fermentor (the glass carboy) from start (pitching yeast) to...
