To expand on that....I would love it if there were just a folder under recipes like "Recipes Online", where you could just browse all of the online recipes instead of logging in via your browser and adding the recipe to your favorites then going back to BTP and logging in and downloading your recipes.

I understand your argument about efficient database design, but in practice, each batch for me turns out to be pretty much a unique item. For me as well since I never make the same recipe twice. I just think it would be great if there were a separate place to store information about the brewing ins...

Not a bad idea rob and I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I don't immediately agree with your strategy for a few reasons. First, from a geeks standpoint, what you suggest is a DBA's nightmare. Logical entities should almost always exist as database tables. What you are suggesting is a work...

Batches, we need some stinking Batches

As a amateur DBA, I really admire your database design. There is something that seems to be so conspicuously missing that I keep thinking I've missed it. There should be a table in the database for "Batches". With the current setup, as far as I can tell, there is no where to store brew date or infor...

That's got to be one of the most counterintuitive things I've ever heard. You can't just transfer the wort without sparging? What if you are doing a single infusion mash with no sparge? How are you supposed to convince the software that you are moving the liquid from your mash tun to your kettle?

Transfer does not work

I've tried various things to do transfer and if used properly, it essentially doesn't do anything. The volume in the mash tun and the kettle stays the same. 0 in the case of the kettle (or collected volume). It actually looks like it's adding the volume to the mash tun. The "in vessel" volume is 1 g...

first time all grain

I working on getting my first all grain in BT but I'm having issues with the schedule. Apparently BT doesn't import the schedule from a .rec file. The schedule looks like this: Protein 1 20 122 122 Infuse 131 9.20 1.15 Saccharification 5 30 153 153 Infuse 210 5.87 1.88 Mashout 1 10 170 170 Infuse 21...
