I am going to be doing my first taste of my most recent Mack and Jacks African Amber clone tonight, same basic recipe as last time with some hops tweaks(used some NZ hops) Next up on the sched is possibly a wheat/heffe of some type and then back to the IPA's I always seem to come back to. Planning o...

From my experiences when using pellets they do dissolve and if you dry hop for at least a weak tend to settle to the bottom making it easy to keep it clear as long as you are careful with your siphon. I added and ounce of NZ cascade whole hops, 1 oz of centennial pellets and 1 oz of american cascade...

When I do a long dry hop, i.e. 3 weeks or more the whole flowers will eventually become saturated enough to sink. Pellets always end up sinking about a week after addition. Tomorrow I will be ...

I have used Green Bullet and am currently using a NZ Cascade for dry hopping a Mac & Jacks clone. The bullet was used for bittering but can also be used for aroma if you like, worked very well and I liked the outcome wasn't too bitter considering the high AA and did have a slight fruityness to it bu...

Kegged an IPA about 5 days ago that was a close facsimile to the Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale(same ingredients, close original and final gravities). Waiting another 3-5 days to really enoy it but did a taster last night and it was very good. About to get the ingredients to attempt a Mac & Jacks clo...
