From my experiences when using pellets they do dissolve and if you dry hop for at least a weak tend to settle to the bottom making it easy to keep it clear as long as you are careful with your siphon. What are you trying to acheive by using a lager yeast, naturally an IPA is just that, a pale Ale, not that you cant make a strong hoppy lager....in the end I dont see there being too many recipe changes as much as how you brew and ferment the recipe.
