Thanks tripel. As far as style, I wasnt overly concerned with sticking to a model. Quite the opposite actually. I am also concerned about the hops. The reason im using what I am is thats what I have on hand. Think it is adequate?

apricot beer

Another decent apricot beer is MAgic Hat number 9, though its not all that light and I do believe only avaliable in the northeast (brewed in Vermont if I remember correctly.
