What kind?
If it has a needle and dial, not a digital or mercury thermometer, it should have a hex nut attached to the stem, on back of the face. I know that you can re-culture yeast from some commercially available beers. I have just read that you can make a starter from them then stick in the the refrigerator and keep it there until you are ready to brew. Wow!! Somebody PLEASE tell me more... like how long it may keep and how to re-activate...
