opinion on a pale ale recipe
just wondering if this sounded good or if it needs a little tweaking. 5 gal. extract 1.07 lbs. american 2 row 4.05 lbs. alexanders pale liquid 2.49 lbs. liquid amber extract .9 oz. amerillo(pellets,8.50%AA)boiled 60min. .50 oz. mt. hood(pellets,5.00%AA)boiled 15 min. .50 oz. liberty(pellets,4.00%AA)...

how exactly are mesh bags used for brewing. just for steeping at 165 degrees for 45 min. or so? after this just discard the grains or is there another step?

i was wondering what is the best system for blow off tubes. never had to use them. just use the airlock right now. thanks.
