Yes it is correct although I wont say 50 percent quicker because you are using a 50 percent smalller bottle.

Because the volume is less, it reacts quicker. Point to note, it will go south quicker to.

Alpha Acids are all about bittering

Beta Acids are aroma unless they are oxidized

Bud, Its not all to blame on your process, and yes clenliness is next to godliness however, Assuming you are transfering from a primary to a secondary, do so with a fermentation in process rather than a stagnent breww, allow a bed of CO2 to build up. Sapper,

I think you have a very aggresive yeast chewing on a few residual sugars that slowly breaking down.

Rack and let it clear, the fermentation will be done and then you can get it in the bottle

I have underestimated my brew efficiency by a few percent, this means I have a few more grains and I don't have to flirt with the dreaded 1.010.

This may lead to an issue if I was doing an exact match but for day to day it works out just fine
