Recipe/Folders Tree
Since updating to version 2 the folders tree/hierarchy listing in the left panel no longer remembers what was open when restarting Beer Tools Pro. Given my deep folder trees, this is a nuisance. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to adjust or is this a lost feature in the updgrade from 1.5 to ...

That makes sense if each batch is in fact identical to the previous batches. But in my case, they almost never are exactly the same. If nothing else, my hop inventory changes. The amarillo hops I spec'd in one batch are not the same as the hops in the next batch. They are from a different source or ...

I've thought about, but haven't yet tried, creating a stencil version of my logo and using glass etching liquid to etch my bottles. Then I would have the logo and my brewery name on each bottle. If I get around to trying that I'll also etch a rectangle onto each bottle so that I can write the type o...

Re: Thanks, Jeff; understood.
This makes me soooo happy! Loving the software, but this will be a nice addition when it's available.jeff wrote:I have been thinking about ways to print the entire inventory as well as other items that could use print functionality.

Re: Print Inventory?
+1. This was mentioned during beta, but nothing came of it. I think it would be a great addition.FrugalBrewer wrote:BTP really should have a function to print "Inventory".

Re: Is the way it works really intuitive?
I can't decide if the dimming of the "Register" button is helpful or just confusing to users. I know that I haven't seen it before on other software or else it would have occurred to me immediately since I've certainly been around the block more than a few times as far as computers and software go....

Oh, I see. Even though I've added the vessel to my database, I have to also add it to the recipe. Which makes sense now that I think about it... For the new recipe I was creating, I didn't use my normal template since I was radically changing my procedure. So I needed to add all the vessels back to ...

Problem with schedule
I just added a new MLT to my equipment database. Now I'm trying to create a new schedule using the new MLT but when I create a new step, none of the pull-downs for vessels or heat sources are populated with any of my database equipment. Edit: If I open an existing recipe with an existing mash schedu...

The only trouble I see with drag/drop is that that moves the recipe, rather than making a separate copy that I can modify for my particular session. I do drag/drop when I move a base recipe from "in development" to "tested" or "house recipes" but create a copy with a filename that references the br...

I think the planned recipes pseudo-folder is a bit confusing but once you understand it, it is okay. One could then create folders to keep original recipes, brewed recipes, house recipes as you mentioned and that seems good enough. And I don't see the need to "save as", just drag and drop the recip...

I'm not sure, Jeff. Part of what I like to accomplish with the save as is to have a copy of the final recipe as brewed, including actual OG, FG etc. Since this varies slightly from batch to batch, I've wanted a separate recipe that records all of these details without affecting the original recipe. ...
