BeerXML import

I have exported a recipe from BeerSmith using it's BeerXML export tool. I am assuming it is well structured BeerXML, it certainly passes as well structured XML. Using the BTP import tool it prompts for the import file OK then just appears to completely ignore the action. No data is imported that I c...

Re: im

im not knockin the idea, but i cant see how this aspect could be very predictable. i dont think ive ever had predictable fermentations. like what would you need it for? im just curious. While the timings might not be perfectly predicatable, I cannot even find a place to nominate a fermentation temp...

Inventory feature

Would be nice for the inventory feature to have an 'on order' amount as well as an on hand amount.

Fermentation Schedule

I must be overlooking something, but if not, the program needs a place to enter the Fermentation schedule. At a minimum a temperature and duration; better a number of temps and durations; and better still the ability to enter a (number of) start temp, stop temp and durations to indicate a rise in te...

Re: Brewsheet

You cannot browse to where I have put display.htm and use it - I do not know why but you must copy it to a local disk - I stress local because it appears to even have problems using network drives of the form \\server... The alternative is to insert the tag <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl"...

There is an xml tag you can embed in the .btp file that then applies the xslt to the xml by default in any browser BUT once you embed that tag BTP refuses to acknowledge the file as one of it's own :( You could take a copy, of the file, then straight after the <?xml version="1.0" encoding=...

No worries, if it is only a link that can get posted, then I'll put the files up on my web server and I'll post a link. Thanks. Edit: OK, download http://www.babbrewers.com/downloads/software/display.html and open it in IE and hopefully it'll be clear how it works. Not entirely sure why but you have...

I don't think you'll find the pre-boil gravity anywhere except on the printed output. It is not stored anywhere I can find in the .BTP file. I am thinking I'll need to calculate it on the fly for the BrewSheet report I am making.

An answer: BeerSmith-like BrewSheet for BTP

It would appear that one of the most requested features for BTP is a BeerSmith-like "BrewSheet' showing the running order for a brew day. This is (was?) one thing still tying me to BeerSmith. Last week I discovered that BTP stores it's recipes in an XML format. I then discovered the wonderful w...
