I have decided to go with a ESB, Not quite as bitter as the IPA(200 IBU, eeks)and it will mature faster.

Mashing next weekend (15th), I'll let you know how it goes.

Wadaya Know !

So, I took the fermenter up-stairs to warm up and gave it another shake...Voila...thare she blows. It's bubbling away in my basement again (about 12c) I hope it's not too warm down there. Oh well, I'm sure i'll be able to drink it.

Hello again brain trust. Reciently (monday)I tried to make a lager; I sanitized properly, boiled the wort (extract), cooled it to 24c and pitched the yeast(wyeast). Thought about that hmmm

I'm from Edmonton, the box sounds good. I thought about the heated box, a thermostat switch and light bulb/heater. Even a car block heater might be enough if it was well insulated.

Ok...I wan't to try a lager but I don't have a spare fridge; I live in northern Canada so it's too cold outside.
