Re: Shopping list crashing app

Could it be because I have too many recipes?

I use the program for a commercial brewery and keep a separate copy of each recipe that we brew as a brew log. So I have a few hundred recipes in my library.

minor qualm with alphabetical sorting

Maybe this is normal, but I find it annoying. When alphabetically sorting recipes capitals come before lower cased names so instead of amarillo IPA Baltic Porter cascade wheat you get Baltic Porter amarillo IPA cascade wheat not a major issue, but I sometimes forget to capitalize my recipe names and...

Late sugar additions and preboil gravity

Just noticed that late additions of sugar are still accounted for in pre-boil gravity.

For example if I am adding honey to the kettle at 2 minutes left in the boil, it should not be part of the preboil gravity.

Also, it'd be nice on recipe printouts if preboil gravity was listed

I think one easy fix, which wont cover issues like fruit, is having a checkbox in the ingredient editor that marks the ingredient as non fermentable. This would help with ingredients such as lactose so they would not be utilized in the attenuation calculations. Currently you have to uncheck lactose ...

Ahh, looks like it was a slightly outdated version. Strange because the program usually prompts me to update. Maybe I ignored it while in a hurry one day. Looks like everything is back to normal after the update. Thanks for such an amazing program. I have been using it since I started home brewing y...

Problems with recipe library

recently i was having trouble duplicating a recipe in the recipe library, through right clicking on a recipe and selecting duplicate. some recipes would allow the duplication while others apparently did nothing. It turns out it was duplicating within the folder, but not appearing in the library sect...

Re: For the pros... and everyone else

Jeff, I can't believe I missed that checkbox. You just saved me a lot of work ;) I have some additional thoughts on hops/inventory So for hops in general, when editing the parameters there could be an optional field for approximate harvest date. Again this would be OPTIONAL, and geared towards hops ...

For the pros... and everyone else

I have used this program as a homebrewer for three years now and absolutely love it. Now I am on my way to opening my own microbrewery and would love to continue using it in production. I have tried to use the competitors software and always return to BTP. Some features that would help in that trans...

This issue should be resolved. It shouldnt be very hard to remove liquid during the mash schedule. Please incorporate this in an update.

I too am trying to do a turbid mash schedule and it is impossible in beertools.

If you end up printing on regular paper and are looking for a quick and easy adhesion method, try using spray adhesive. It's about $3 at any arts and crafts store. You can just lay out several labels at a time and give em a quick spray and they're ready to go. It takes a lot less time than trying to...
