Re: Remembering All Window Settings?
I suggest that most of brewers who brew frequently would prefer the default to be via style rather than name

Re: window sizing
Jeff, I have also noticed this happens if the screen size is only partially sized - probably more relevant to me as I'm running multiple screens.
No problems when screen is full sized.
Has only started happening to me within the past couple of updates....

Re: how did you choose recipes when you first started brewin
When you choose a style to brew I was nurtured by someone who said keep it simple and use recipes that many people have had success with. A quick and easy brew which is successful builds confidence far quicker than a complicated brew than one has to wait for 12 months to mature - for example I like ...

Re: Raisin beer?
That can happen because of wild yeasts if the rasins aren't sterilized. Much as we would like to believe raisins are clean straight out of the packet, often they aren't. So now we throw them in the oven at 150c (300F) for 10 minutes before use which seems to prevent off any flavours... It has happen...

Re: expired yeast, ok to use? possibly...definitely not??
Just be aware that sometimes they do work and other times they don't.... I have found overall it is cheaper to start with new yeast than coaxing expired yeast into some sort of life with extra nutrients, temp and care and also sometimes they still give different flavors from fresh yeast.... The test...

Re: Ginger in beers
If you used fresh ginger I grate it then let it simmer for approx 45 mins... Although I don't use powered spices unless I have to I always add them in the last 10 minutes of the boil... With fresh ginger the outside skin can cause off flavors. I haven't ever had any problems with cloves even when pu...

Re: Brewday / Hop Timers
No one wants that to happen although I use the system as you do currently, I would prefer an actual android app which simply links to BTP so I can utilize on my tablet (easier to see and easier to clean than my cellphone....)

Re: Adding water to recipe ingredients
The *.rsd file contains your individual settings which is often beneficial to delete when upgrading (except one has to redo them) but you recipe files will remain in your default folder even if you uninstall BTP. Bear in mind 2.0 will be released in the next few weeks so I personally would wait - bu...

Good and bad news
Jeff has fixed this in the new version which is to be released later on this month.
But unfortunately you will have to live with the errors on version 1.5 for the next few weeks...
