Re: How to Close a Recipe without Shutting Down the Program

Apologies as I see I asked this question a while ago and Jeff did respond. I do still find it odd that there isn't an easy way to clear a recipe so you are back to your starting recipe template (i.e., a blank slate on which to work). Perhaps I'm missing this.

How to Close a Recipe without Shutting Down the Program

I would like to know how to clear a recipe that I've opened without shutting down the entire program. Both CTRL-W and CTRL-Q shut down the entire program. It would seem that based on the descriptions CTRL-Q should "exit" the program and CTRL-W should "close" the open recipe, but ...

Close Options

In the "File" Menu, what is the difference between the "Close" Option [CNTRL W] and the "Exit" Option [CNTRL Q]? Both seem to shut down the entire program. I would have thought that the Close Option would close the current recipe but leave the program running. Not the c...

Re: Odd Problem

Jeff,

I recently upgraded to V2 but am still having problems locating (or seeing) saved templates. I'd like to get this straightened out but I'm not really sure what I am doing wrong. Thanks for helping.

Re: Odd Problem

I don't think its an issue of not applying the template to a recipe. I just confirmed that, in a recipe, if I try to load a template called "Summer", though it does not show up in the list of documents in my "Document" directory, I can type the word Summer into the search field a...

Odd Problem

After saving a template, I cannot see it listed in the directory it was saved to. However, if I type the name of the template into the windows search box, it will locate the template in the directory. How can I fix this? For example, I may save a mash profile called Summermash.btp. I don't see it li...

Jeff, I've copied the files from my desk top folder "Recipies" to my lap top and visa versa, and while they are there in my windows directories, they do not appear in the subfolders within the program. I'm not sure why this is happening. For example, I created a Sessions subfolder on my la...

Found it. At this point, there is only a a folder called "Recipes". But that's all I'm really interested in so I think this works. Thanks.

Easiest Way to Transfer Files between Computers

I like to work up recipes on my desktop but when I brew I keep a lap top outside. How can I transfer a BTP recipe from the desktop to the lap top? I have flash drive that can store the media, but I'm not sure which files to look at to copy, which files to actually copy and then how to retrieve them ...

How to Save a New Recipe in 1.5?

I just made a new recipe and click save as on the file menu but am not sure how to save so that by default it goes in the folder called "recipes" or one of the subfolders I created. I can just save it to the desk top or some other place and then copy it in, but I'm sure there must be a mor...
