90 minutes
it was a 90 minute boil, 6 gals to start and end with 5 gals, allthough this was not the case, I will crank the heat down and keep and eye out, is there a =temp to go by ? Also when this happens is adding more water safe, a buddy of mine says I should have added more water to bring it back up to fiv...

well after months of brewing without one, I bought a turkey fryer. At 170,000 BTU's I cant belive I ever brewed any other way, man that thing is sweet. gathered the wort and moved the pot to the burner, within about 15 minutes the boil was blasting off. Almost had a boilover. I started with 6 gallon...

hey all, I was curious that since I am kegging my brew and using a recipe that suggests corn suger for priming, do I still need it , because I am force carbonating my beer in the keg ? should I just go ahead and add the suger to the keg, or boil it in ? or what ???? thanks

Are you saying that is is possiable to blow a keg ? that sounds scary : ( , yes I will be using gyle ot prime, as I do with all my brews, so I will reduce it to 1/3 amount of org. If I plan on kegging the next batch, I guess I should take that into account when pulling the gyle out, correcting my ca...

consistency with "Gyle"
when using the gyle method to prime beer, is there any problems with consistency ? meaning that if I do it batch to batch, will there be in un-consistency in my F.G., carbonation, flavor, etc... ? thanks for any help

When using the unfermented wort(gyle) to prime with, is there any reason to be concerned with o2 levels ? well its be awhile (about a month )since I post'd a note about my mead and some strange white stuff at the top, at first I described it as a film, now it seems to be streaming down the sides, almost looks like a fine powder, any of you meaders, (or anyone with more knowledge than me:) have any idea ?
