when i have had that problem, shaking, and overpitching, always has worked.

if you use lots of dark malts, your ph goes down right? so the lighter the beer, the less you are going to lower ph.

whats a good beer to make now, and drink in about 1-2 months? ive been out of the loop on beer stuff for a year or two. everything is nice and shiny and ready to brew now though

seems logical yes. chart your progress. im just soo simple about. 1. look at it 2. still bubbling? walk away 3. not bubbling? give it a week and rack ha. yeah. theres more to it than that. but yeah. it could be nice. maybe work out some progress points, and maybe even a chart to go off of your gravi...

im not knockin the idea, but i cant see how this aspect could be very predictable. i dont think ive ever had predictable fermentations. like what would you need it for? im just curious.
