With Beertools Gold, you can make a print view whish is handy for cutting and pasting to forums and such. The printouts look real good from BTP, but can we get a print preview?

I don't care if it can be saved in HTML or not if we can get a print preview.

Can I?

Install BTP to my laptop and my desktop PC's. I don't have a printer that I use with my laptop so much, so it would be nice if I could install twice. Also, in the Beertools Gold, you can make a print view whish is handy for cutting and pasting to forums and such. The printouts look real good from BT...

More yeast questions...

If you don't mind.... If you keep a growler of harvested yeast from the secondary under distilled water in the beer fridge at cold temps for longer than two weeks, could you make a starter with it? Would you mind to tell me what "myriad of problems" I could possibly expect? I just want to ...

Primary vs. Secondary yeast harvesting

I have been trying to harvest my yeast from my carboys and repitch them to new brews. I've been having rather mixed results. Should I save the yeast from the primary fermentation, or from the secondary? I usually save the yeast in a growler under airlock in the beer fridge until reuse.

Very Satisfied

I am a Gold Member. That's just fun to say. I only used the free services for a short time before deciding to support the site by getting a membership. Something that I do not have at any other homebrew site. I received a promotional rate of $10.00 for my first year, and a discounted rate for renewa...

How sweet it is...?

Im not planning to sweeten it up too much. I'm looking to add some smoothness. What do you think of this recipe?

Using Lactose sugar..

I am nearly finished tweaking my Imperial Stout recipe, and will likely brew it within the next week. I am planning to use lactose sugar in this brew, and I need to know, when it should be added in. Should it be boiled in the wort, added at the end of the boil, or added at bottling time?

Oak Chip Theory...What if?

With the recent oak barrel and bourbon barrel aged brew craze going on, I got to thinking about something. I'm not willing or able to fill a barrel. And don't quite think I'm ready for such a large project. But, what if I went to my LHBS and bought a small package of "Medium Toast French Oak Ch...

New Stout recipe...

What do you think of this? I am trying to come up with an absolutely insane Imperial Stout. I used lots of dark grains. I want a deep dark roasty, coffee flavoring. Please feel free to give input.

This happened to me....twice!

This happen to me a couple times this winter. I like to cold condition the secondary fermenter in the garage for a week or two. I live in northern Illinois near Chicago, so it can occasionally get cold enough to freeze inside the garage. The last time this happened was to an IPA. It did not freeze s...

Steam Beer

Just thinking here. Does the steam style beer I just made need to be lagered after primary fermentation is completed? What is appropriate for the secondary phase of this brew?
