Re: Imported Recipes

Hey there. Sorry to hear about the trouble. Scanning for recipes will find recipe files on your computer but does not preserve how they are organized. The better way to do it is to copy the BeerTools Pro library folder from the old computer to the new one and then select that folder in preferences. ...

Re: ALERT: In the newest version, grain absorption was moved from a preference to a recipe setting

Sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with BeerTools Pro. I try to implement some customer feature requests and this is one of them. It was included in the release notes under “v2.1.0.3 2020-12-10”. If a recipe is opened that was saved prior to this feature, the value defaults to the last used gr...

Re: laptop died now what

That is usually caused by a typo somewhere in the name or license key, or a license key from a different version. Since this is a public forum, private information should not be posted here. You can attach a screenshot of the registration window with your info filled in by opening a ticket here: htt...

Re: laptop died now what

Sorry to hear about the computer troubles. You definitely don’t have to buy a BeerTools Pro license again. Your download is always available here: https://www.beertools.com/html/my.php?tab=downloads You should find your license key there, too.

Re: Original Gravity Extracts Analysis Adjustment

I think I know what's happening. The addition of a grain to the recipe allows BTP to arrive at your measured OG by adjusting the efficiency. Without the grain, however, the efficiency factor is eliminated from the calculations. Thus, BTP reverts to the predicted OG. In order to accomplish what you w...

Re: Recipe Creation

Yes, that's the best way to think of it. The efficiency value is used when computing the extract yield and doesn't account for losses due to trub, racking, etc.

Sorry about that. BTP 2.1 is currently in beta. I’ll get that removed from updates for now.
