Re: Original Gravity Extracts Analysis Adjustment
I think I know what's happening. The addition of a grain to the recipe allows BTP to arrive at your measured OG by adjusting the efficiency. Without the grain, however, the efficiency factor is eliminated from the calculations. Thus, BTP reverts to the predicted OG. In order to accomplish what you w...

Re: Recipe Creation
Yes, that's the best way to think of it. The efficiency value is used when computing the extract yield and doesn't account for losses due to trub, racking, etc.

Re: BTP 2.1?
Sorry about that. BTP 2.1 is currently in beta. I’ll get that removed from updates for now.

Re: Mac Catalina update
Version 1.5 and earlier are not available in 64 bit. If you have one of these earlier versions you’ll have to upgrade to 2.0. This is available at a discount if purchased using the same account as the previous license. Old recipes will open in the new version.

Re: Sorting Behavior
In this next update the recipe folders opened from within the shopping list window will remember the sorting selection. However, the selection is independent of the main window. Hopefully, this is adequate for your needs.

Hmm, I’m getting that error too. When did you first see the error? Is it recent or has it been happening for a while?

Re: Sorting Behavior
I see what you mean now. That should be a simple adjustment but I will know better once I look at the code. Thanks for your patience.

Re: Sorting Behavior
Hey, sorry for the radio silence. The sorting behavior in the shopping list is based on the available columns—currently name, planned and assemble. To sort with another attribute requires the addition of another column. How do you want to sort your recipes?

Re: Setting Up A BIAB Mash Schedule Question
I finally had a some time to open your file and look at your settings. I think you're correct about how the value locks are applied and some manual adjustment is required. Working with your recipe, one addition I made is lock the total runoff field in the sparge editor. Then, to arrive at roughly 0....

Re: Pre-boil Volume
I believe my boil off was spot on so I'm assuming I ended up with less wort to the fermenter & more trub. In that case I would just subtract the difference from the volume adjustment you have set up for trub losses. Unfortunately, there is no automatic way to do this but the math is pretty simple. ...

Re: Pre-boil Volume
To narrow down where the loss is, do you know your chilled wort volume? Did it hit the predicted volume?

Re: Pre-boil Volume
Ah, ok. That changed total water to 31.16 L instead of 31.38 L. Not a huge difference, but a difference nonetheless
