Re: ALERT: In the newest version, grain absorption was moved from a preference to a recipe setting

Guess I missed that, sorry. I still think it's something to point out, for anyone else who missed it. It was very confusing as I prepped for last weekend's brew session, until I realized what was going on. > try to implement some customer feature requests So how about those brewday timers that we st...

Cannot Delete Multiple Selections from Inventory

I have a big inventory list of small amounts of leftover hops, that I have tossed for being of unknown age and viability. I select all 44 entries in my Hops inventory and hit the delete icon in the toolbar. I get a confirmation dialog asking if I want to delete the 44 selected items, but when I clic...

ALERT: In the newest version, grain absorption was moved from a preference to a recipe setting

And, oddly enough, even though it's in the recipe section, under Schedule, this appears to still be a global setting (if I change it on one recipe, all the rest update as well). Sort of. If you had opened and then saved a recipe before changing this from the default (1.0 kg/l) then the setting is ov...

Still not included, six years and several versions later.

Disappointing to say the least.

BTP Window Open Under The Menu Bar (macOS)

If I close BTP with the window set to full-size (which is how I need to use it on my 14" laptop, when not hooked up to an external monitor), when I re-launch it later the BTP window falls under the macOS menu bar. https://imgur.com/a/xbf8Jjz Not a huge issue, I know, but a somewhat significant ...

Setting Up A BIAB Mash Schedule Question

It's been probably 7 or 8 years since I've set up equipment profiles and recipe templates, but I picked up an Anvil Foundry and am setting up a new recipe template (which is essentially brew-in-a-bag). My question here is specifically in regards to the Mash Schedule: I created a quick dummy recipe w...

Cool, thanks! Obviously not a huge deal, but figured I'd post it.

Cannot assign no style once a style has been chosen

After years of using BTP, just noticed this one: By default no BJCP style is selected in the recipe, but once you do select one (intentionally, or by accident) you cannot remove this. You can choose a different style from the list, but you cannot remove the style parameter altogether. Edit: I just w...

Re: How to Close a Recipe without Shutting Down the Program

I always start a new recipe with a template recipe, which includes all of my brew data (mash tun, boil kettle, brewhouse efficiency, boiloff, mash schedule, target volumes, etc.) so when I need to switch to a new blank recipe I just open that.

Re: Recipe amounts allowed to be negative numbers!

Exactly what I'm thinking... also, I've been using Bru'n Water for my pH prediction (in addition to the calculations), and hopefully by the time I brew this again I'll have a pH meter. Been dragging my feet on buying one, trying to decide between the Hach PocketPro+, Milwaukee 102 or the Thermoworks.

Re: Recipe amounts allowed to be negative numbers!

One of the reasons I love Vienna Lagers is the toasty malt flavor and dry finish, so that's always my prime focus. GL's Eliot Ness has the increased bitterness which I think compliments the style very well, although I don't target as high an ABV as theirs. Drinking one of these now; after a few week...
