Can't Open BeerTools Pro 1.5
I just downloaded the Mac version of BTP 1.5 to update my earlier version and then moved it to my Applications folder. When I try to open the program I get the following error message: "A problem occurred (6). The application may be unstable. Do you want to continue." If I hit "Contin...

Re: Suggest an additional small text-field for 'Comments'
I realize that we have a Notes section, but I would find it very helpful if an additional small text-field were added to the upper portion of the session screen, near the identifying info, perhaps to the right of the glass of beer. The field could be called "Comment" and could be used by ...

I will admit that my frustration with BTP is the result of spending so many years using ProMash and not having enough time at any one sitting to try to figure BTP out. With that said, here are some of the things that I would like to see changed or I am having problems with. I just got through readin...

Ok, I'll reply to myself since the calculation is pretty easy, and I'm actually a little embarrassed for not realizing it earlier. Obviously, getting the volume of a keg is basically figuring out the volume of a cylinder, which is given by pi * radius squared * height Since a sanke keg is 15.5 gall...

Eric, I'm pretty blown away with the detail of your answers...thanks for taking the time to fully explain. I am certainly appreciative of my local brewer providing me and another brewing buddy with yeast but it kind of struck a nerve that I hadn't asked enough questions about the yeast. I am a prett...

Re: Template config
I am having the same problem as wottaguy. I followed the directions i.e. loaded an existing program and then tried to load the template over it. The template information appears as well as the category and subcategory of the recipe I had loaded. However, no ingredients. Was the ingredients checkbox...

Kind of an old thread but I thought I would throw in that if you expect to brew for many years (I started in '92 and knew almost immediately that this was a lifetime hobby) than I would make my brew pot one of my more important investments. Cheap pots are just that...cheap! I have a 15 gallon Vollra...

I have used ProMash since it was first introduced back in the last century? :D I have always liked it but I too am a Mac user. I have used ProMash very successfully by using Virtual PC. Like ColoradoBrewer, I recently bought BeerTools Pro. LIke anything else, it can be frustrating learning a new pro...

I just found this topic, in fact, I just found BeerTools recently (I bought BeerTools Pro) after many years of being a ProMash guy. Anyway, very interesting subject to which I have a few questions after a quickie on my brew rig. I have a HERMS set-up that I have been using for quite a while now. My ...

Importing ProMash Recipes
Is there anyway, or will there be in the future, a way that I can import the hundreds of ProMash recipes and sessions that I have built up? Some are just recipes available online so no big deal. However, about 75 are my own recipes/sessions, notes, etc. Thanks.

I had the same problem. I thought I registered with my middle initial so that is the way I tried to sign on and register. I went back and looked at the download page and that is where I saw my user name w/o the middle initial. Once I put the proper user name in I was able to register the program and...
