Mash Schedule Presets
I saw your request for mash schedule presets, but I was wondering if there are no presets present in BTP 1.5.1 at the moment.

Trying to specify a schedule for a "turbid mash" f
I am thinking about trying a lambic soon, and I wanted to specify a mash schedule like the "turbid mash" specified in "Wild Brews" by Jeff Sparrow. I would appreciate any help in setting this schedule up in Beer Tools Pro. I am unclear about the steps that instruct me to remove a...

Good Feedback in here!
Hey Guys, Great job on the software. I think it's laid out very well, and it is very usable. I find BeerTools Pro to be very accurate and complete despite its deceptive simplicity. And how many software developers dedicate a forum where people are actually participating in the discussions, listening...

bug in printout/report
if you look at the "analysis" section of the printout, Original Extract contains values in Plato for both apparent and real, but terminal extract has a Plato value in apparent and a specific gravity value in real.

"Open Recent" menu item, please
Would it be possible to add an "Open Recent" entry to the file menu item, please? I find myself continuously going back and refining recipes that I'm formulating, and it'd be much more convenient than browsing.
Thanks!
Steve
Thanks!

One bug that I notice
I know this isn't a ProMash forum, but I do notice occasional bugs, and one that I notice pretty frequently is that if I am specifying a mash schedule, and set a three digit number for the temperature fields and then click okay, if I go back into the mash schedule, sometimes it truncates the third d...

Terminal gravity calculation a bit high?
I was trying to come up with a duvel clone, and I tried two ways of going about it. First, I tried 28 lbs of pils malt for a 10 gallon batch... 12 gallons before the 90 minute boil. BTP was claiming an OG of 1.073 and a FG of 1.018. That seems a little bit high for pils malt and Wyeast 1388 (belgian...

I bought it about a month ago, and I've been pleased. I was going to wait for a trial version, but my impatience got the better of me. I used to use ProMash, and it did the job, but since I've gotten used to BTP, I don't have as good of an impression of ProMash anymore, and I find the interface to b...

Ok, I'll reply to myself since the calculation is pretty easy, and I'm actually a little embarrassed for not realizing it earlier. Obviously, getting the volume of a keg is basically figuring out the volume of a cylinder, which is given by pi * radius squared * height Since a sanke keg is 15.5 gallo...

I was trying to add vessels to my session, but I don't really have the internal measurements of a sanke keg. What do you all use? Using the height of the outside of the entire keg yields a calculation of about 22.8 gallons. What do you use as a height to give 15.5 gallons?

Re: Thanks!
Seems like Gentoo is the way to go. I'm looking at Ubuntu and SUSE as well. Let me know if you have any tips. Thanks again! Gentoo is very configurable, but it requires patience since it's a "source" distribution, and you have to compile everything. The online manuals are quite helpful in...

Ok, I am a new Mac owner, and I'm enjoying my experience. I haven't developed any software for the mac. Actually, I prefer linux as my development environment in general, and I specifically prefer gentoo. If you ever require any Java work, let me know and I'd be glad to help out (for free of course)...
