Re: beertools pro on a pixel slate chromebook

future development has been abandoned. That latest Linux (Debian) version is 2.0.22 while Windows and Mac are up to 2.0.24. Last July I asked if there were any plans to update Linux as well, but I never got and answer. Thanks ColoradoBrewer. I guess it might be time to look elsewhere for my brewing...

beertools pro on a pixel slate chromebook

I am pulling the trigger on a pixel slate, don't try and stop me, and was interested to see if I could run the Linux version on it. I will get the 8th Gen Core i5 version 8GB Ram 128GB storage. Has anyone had any success using on any chromebooks?

Thanks,
Jason

analysis

I'm not sure if it is a bug or I just don't know what I am doing.
I am trying to make a mead recipe and I added 18 pounds of honey but it will not let me change the OG in the analysis. I have a different OG than what the program calculates.

export problem

I have changed my prefered unit of measure from gravity to °Plato and when I export the receipe to text file it shows specific gravity not plato.

Also is there a way to choose what is included in the export? I don't see any cost in the export.

window sizing

when I open BTP 2.0 it opens in a minimized window but still mostly fills the screen. I have to drag it over until I can see the edges and then drag the sides in until it is actually not filling most of the screen. Almost all programs I have used in the past will resize to fill about 2/3 of the scre...

template and equipment missing

I tried to load a template this morning and found that my template files are gone and I also have no equipment listed either. Did something happen to equipment and templates from 1.5 to 2.0?

collapse recipe folder pane

After you select a recipe, add ingredients, etc from the list it would be nice if we could collapse that window pane. I know we can re size it but what would be nice if we had a button above, next to the print button, you could just collapse that pane to give more screen real estate to the current b...

export ingedients

is there a way to export my ingredients database to excel or other editable format? The problem is that when I just try to print the list it includes the description and all I need is a list of name, origin and quantity.

Re: recipe management

The menu item Library>Scan for Recipes... should find recipes on your hard drive and pull them into the database. If you put the recipe files into the folders manually, the menu item Library>Rebuild Library... should read the files in the folders and pull them into the database. Thank you Thank you...

recipe management

OK I know this has probably been discussed but I searched and can't find anything. My problem is this. In the Beer Tools Pro directory I have several sub folders in the recipe folder. They show up in the program and I can add recipes to them in the program but if I add recipes to the folders in my f...

I used to do secondaries because that's what I was taught. "You gotta do a secondary to get the beer off all that yeast". Well the yeast need time to reabsorb the diacetyl . My rule of thumb is 10-15 days for an ale and 30 days for a lager. Then keg or bottle. I have noticed no off flavors...
