Has anyone brewed this beer? There are sure a lot of views. Serious 13lbs malt bill here.
Great Quad

Yes, I brewed this beer and loved it. I made one mistake of following the advice of the guy at my local beer store - I removed the dry extra light extract and poured in the full 1lb. of dark candi sugar. While more candi sugar wouldn't hurt, I felt that 1lb. was a little much and at the end, I received some feedback that it could have used more malt body. So sticking with the true recipe would have been better. Problems: The fermentation stalled on me - actually, it wasn't completely stopped, but was VERY slow. I ended up bottling after four weeks at a slightly higher gravity than desired (1.017 ). This didn't end up being a big problem. Several experienced brewers with palates for quads gave it a thumbs up. Ultimately, it's a good strong quad and I would brew it again.
