Looking for a Small Beer extract recipe

I would like to make a small batch of small beer to use in a traditional Swedish holiday bread. I've read a lot on how it was traditionally made, i.e. George Washington's recipe, but I'm not yet all-grain brewing nor do I need to make 30 gallons as in George Washington's recipe. What I'm hoping for is if anyone has made an extract small beer, preferably a dark style, that they would share their results and recipe. I think I have a good start for a recipe by just reducing the ingredients to have an initial OG of approximately 1.030 but I would appreciate any help.
