building a conical fermenter
There has to be a way that you can build a conical fermenter out of, say, a 5 gallon water jug. Does anyone have any information on improvising with making a conical fermenter? Thank you.

A lot of the experts on this forum will likely recommend that you avoid:
a) Plastic as a fermenter (when used for longer fermentations, i.e. more than just primary fermentation). If you do use plastic, use food grade and avoid scratching the interior when cleaning. Scratches can harbour bacteria that can hide from sanitizers.
b) Any vessel with seams or weld where nasty bacteria can hide from your santitizing procedures.
