fruit removal

I'm planning on using a couple of pounds of raspberries in my brew pot (I know, don't boil them) and was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to get them out of the pot and into the primary fermenter while keeping that little strainer in the funnel so not all the hop and grain rests go in as well.

Why in the brew pot?

Just curious why you would add them to the brew pot, but I would just scoop the fruit out and put it in the primary first and then syphon the wort on top of it.

Hi. If you want a strong fruit flavor you can ferment with no fruit for about a week and rack over to the secondary which already has the fruit in it. The alcohol from the brew will sanitize the fruit. Then you can rack again when the final gravity is right. Fred
