I am about to brew my second batch of beer ever and i have chosen a Belgian Trippel Ale recipe to attempt. I picked up a Wyeast Activator pack about 2 weeks ago and due to the fact that i share a house with a bunch of roomates in college, it has undergone some temperatue fluxuation in my fridge (30F-40F). I meant to order some Wyeast activaqtor with my last order, but i forgot.
Will this yeast pitch and start well or should i make a starter? If you guys feel a starter would be better, how and when should i prepare it?

Sounds fine
I've used the Wyeast activator and have had the temperature swings with no problem. Let the pack warm up to room temp and then slap it to break the inner pouch and then shake it real good and wait. It should expand in 3-4 hours.
