Postby Cregar » Fri Sep 30, 2011 12:11 am

Just update to the lastest version and for some reason the Lock/Scale pulldown menu doesn't show up now.

The Scale function has been moved to the Recipe menu in the latest revision.

I agree. That's find if you add it somewhere else, but I liked it next to the final volume. Why even have the check box there anymore?

scaling recipes confusing

Postby AustinTim » Tue Jan 17, 2012 11:32 pm

if it's moved to the dropdown menu then I shouldn't be able to type in the final volume box... unless i'm starting a new recipe... so when I scale i shouldn't type anything in that box? I want that number to change the grain quantities.

also, I've started to notice a negative value in the water volume added when I download a recipe from beertools.com

+1 for me
It seems obvious now but it took me a while to work out the scale function had moved. Initially I thought it was a bug. Maybe there was a good reason for moving it but feels like a pointless change to me. The check box seems redundant now and only adds to the confusion. Why have it? Sorry for the negative tone but I feel the need to add to the chorus on this one.

Much better where it all was.

New buttons are added to the interface to provide this functionality as of version 1.5.24
