May I test BTP for Linux also?
Hello, Jeff. I'm a brewer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that uses BeerSmith for a long time, but I have a friend that uses BeerTools and show me the software. I liked so much but I'm using Linux for 3 years (Ubuntu 10.04 now) and would like to test BeerTools running on it. Where could I download it? Thanks a lot.

Hello Jeff,
with the current update I am no longer able to open btp with the icon that it installs in the science section of the menu but if I go to the folder and open one of the recipes the program will open. do you know what might be wrong or a work around to this?
I have removed and reinstalled a few times now with no luck.
thanks

I really don't know much about how the items in that menu are linked. Anyone here know what blindguardian can check?blindguardian wrote:Hello Jeff,

BTP for Linux
Jeff, I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and would be really interested in trying out BTP for Linux. BTP is honestly the only reason I'm keeping Windows XP alive on a second computer!
BTP for Linux
tgz got my vote only because there was not an all of the above choice. I regularly use multiple distributions, so i would love to have correct package formats for all.

BTP Linux
Would like to try BTP For linux. Willing to give feedback! Using Mostly Ubuntu, but do use others. I had BTP working ok with WINE, but with the latest update, it's a no go. Would love to try the Linux versions.
Thanks
Dave

Free BTP Linux License for Current Customers
If you currently own the Mac or PC version of BeerTools Pro I will issue you a free license for the Linux version if you are a Linux user. The Linux version is not for sale in the store but I will make it available in downloads by request. This version is not officially supported and contains some known issues, but some customers are finding it useful.
