adjustments on a barley crusher malt mill??
anyone with suggestions on adjustments from the factory .39 setting it seems a little dusty for a crush (checked gap with feeler gauge so it is on .39)
oatmeal chocolate sweet stout sounds good

I actually went a little tighter.
A little flour shouldn't hurt your sparge. If it bothers you, you could try malt conditioning. If you spray about 100 mL/10# grain, you'll reduce the amount of flying dust and improve the quality of the husks. This is a good write-up of malt conditioning.

I tightened up mine a little too. Had no problems with stuck mashes even with my Brutus in constant recirculation.

I'd be concerned introducing moisture to a carbon steel roller, I don't like rust.
