BTP Templates not saving

Hi. Just bought BTP - 1.5.5 running in XP. Tried to "save as template" from one of my files. I just wanted the schedule and equipment. It gave me the dialog and I named the file. It saved a file with that name but no .btp extension.

Update: Renamed the file and gave it a .btp extension and the template loads no problem. So, the problem is that it's simply not applying the extension when it saves the file.
