In the Calculator for the SG using a refractometer, I understand the "Wort Calibration" as a correction factor for the wort which is not a pure sucrose solution. But if that is the case, something is off. If I use 1.04 Wort Calibration and plug in an Original Brix of 20, I get an Original Gravity of 19.41, which is not 20/1.04=19.23. It is not significant but it is odd anyway. Similarly, I would expect to get 20 when using 1.00 as a Wort Calibration factor but I get 20.18.
Is there a mistake in the formula or in my understanding?
