saving schedule presets and pre-boil OG

Post by lucas »

2 (hopefully simple) questions

1. how do i save mash schedules as presets so I can use them on other recipies

2. where to I find the pre-boil OG, so I can tell if I hit my efficiency or not?

I don't think you'll find the pre-boil gravity anywhere except on the printed output. It is not stored anywhere I can find in the .BTP file. I am thinking I'll need to calculate it on the fly for the BrewSheet report I am making.

Don't quote me, but I think you can save your mash schedule as a template or as the default. I did it several months ago and it pops up every time I open a new recipe, but I don't really remember what I did -- or if that was the best way to do it.

1. As cj suggest just enter all your data and save as default. You should also enter the specs for your equipment and any ingredients (clarifiers, yeast nutrient, etc.) that you regularly use.

2. Just hove the cursor over the kettle volume field.
