So, tomorrow I am brewing my very first batch and I am a little confused. Here's my setup....
I have a 7.5 gallon kettle (http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=15753) and they suggested I buy a burner so it would boil much faster (http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=15766).
So with that being said, I will have to brew outside. The kettle doesn't have a handle. I don't have a hose outside as I live in an apartment. How would I make use of the wort chiller (http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=19513) if I cannot get the kettle back inside without buring my hands from the heat of the kettle?
I don't know if I am explaining this very well since I am a complete newbie at this.
Confused About The Wort Chiller....

Since the kettle doesn't have handles I don't see any options other than to cool it in place. You really don't want to lift a kettle of near boiling wort if it doesn't have handles. If there isn't a source of water outside you'll have get water from inside your apartment. Hardware stores sell faucet adapters that will fit your kitchen sink and allow you to use a garden hose. I know that running a garden hose through your apartment is not the most elegant solution, but it would be the least expensive. An alternative would be to get a large tub, a submersible pump and recirculate ice water through the chiller and whirlpool the wort while it chills. I do this with a pump I got at Northern Tool for about $35.

Just came across this thread over on the NB Forum. I've never tried so I don't know how well it would work. Just throwing it out there.
