Irish Stout with cherry

Postby hansolo » Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:32 am

My friend and I just bottle an Irish stout that we are tweaking for an upcoming competition. we were very close to placing last year but we fine tuned the recipe. We made a 5 gallon batch and bottled half of the brew then added 2 ounces of cherry flavoring to the other half. I was wondering if anyone has used the LD Carlson flavoring for their beer and how is the taste? We are going to enter both beers and hope to at least get a higher score than last year.
